Who we are
Centre for Rural Development Solutions (CRDS) is a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization established in Mogadishu Somalia in 2022 by a group of Somali intellectuals with support from both Diaspora and local communities. The founding of the organization was premised on the need to advance the social and economic development of communities affected by climatic and human-induced disasters and shocks coupled with weak state institutions that lacks the capacity to provide critical services. Thus, CRDS aspires to fill bridge the gap and support state and non-state institutions in bridging this gap. Target Groups
CRDS’s work mainly targets populations in humanitarian crisis, the most vulnerable marginal communities from livelihood groups such as pastoral, agro-pastoral, riverine, and coastal as well as poor urban.
